It’s everyone’s favourite…satay, made slow. Full of smooth, peanutty flavour and a hint of heat from homegrown bird’s eye chillies. Free-range thigh fillets are marinated overnight, then seared in a house-made satay paste of herbs, spices, peanuts, kecap manis, dark soy, peanut butter. Simmered in coconut milk and finished off with kaffir lime leaves.

Ingredients

Chicken, peanuts/peanut butter, onion, chillies, garlic, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, dried herbs/spices (coriander, cumin, turmeric, paprika, chilli, curry powder, salt, sugar), vegetable oil, stock, kecap manis, soy sauce, coconut milk, lime juice.

Reheating

Defrost and transfer to a covered saucepan, then slowly simmer until piping hot. Or, simply reheat in a microwave.

Serving Suggestions

Serve with your rice or pasta, fettuccine is the classic. And if you have any sauce left over, we recommend using for crumbed schnitzel. Yum!
